The Guidance on Advanced Approaches (GAA Series) addresses technical matters relating to the implementation of the advanced approaches risk-based capital rule.
This guidance transmits the wholesale and retail work programs that Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Federal Reserve) examiners use to help gather information on use of internal ratings-based approaches for credit risk at institutions subject to the advanced approaches risk-based capital rule (advanced approaches rule).1 Publishing the work programs increases transparency by making public some of the questions and procedures that examiners ask and use in their evaluation and review of compliance with the minimum requirements to use the advanced approaches.
